Our Mission Partners in the restoration of sight to the visually impaired. (The LLEB is but one link in the chain of organizations who work diligently to make the gift of sight a reality. We value our partners; therefore we willingly strive to go the extra distance to serve them).
Our Vision The vision of the Louisiana Lions Eye Bank, a 501 (c) (3), charitable organization is to eradicate corneal blindness by providing the following: plentiful and healthy corneal tissue for transplantation; ocular tissue for research projects; education of the medical and lay community regarding eye tissue donation and the services of the Louisiana Lions Eye Bank.
Our Values Dignity: Concern and respect for the donor family regardless of their response to the option of donation. Integrity: Doing what is right when no one is looking. Excellence: Continually reaching for the highest standards in service, performance and most importantly, healthy ocular tissue for transplant. Stewardship: Just and wise use of the precious gift of ocular tissue to another in need, whether it be by transplant, research, or education.
