Distribution of Tissue for Transplant, Research, and Education
LLEB distributes eye tissue to the surgeons in our service areas,
then to other surgeons and eye banks in our state,region, country,
and lastly internationally. Surgeons and/or their staff may apply
for access to a link which will enable them to request tissue, view
available tissue and/or schedule surgery.
Tracking Outcomes of Transplanted Tissue
To provide a method of linking donor information with the tissue
recipient in the form of a permanent record minimum information
must be maintained from the donor's record and recipient information
which must be retained permanently. Surgeons and their staff may
access a link to submit their recipients follow-up information, update
recipient progress, report unexpected outcomes and adverse reactions.
